Flower City School No. 54

PROJECT DETAILS

Flower City School 54 was relocated to a new site as part of a comprehensive modernization effort, designed to address the challenges of its original undersized campus. The project introduced a “mini campus plan” that featured shared spaces for specialized programs in art, music, and technology. These enhancements provided students with access to state-of-the-art resources tailored to support creative and academic growth. The updated facility included modern mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring long-term operational efficiency and sustainability. The addition of a functional new main entry improved safety and accessibility for students, staff, and visitors.

The expansion also focused on creating outdoor spaces that enhance the learning environment. Playgrounds and age-appropriate recreational areas were developed, complemented by expanded bus loops and parking facilities to alleviate congestion. Land acquisitions allowed the campus footprint to grow significantly, offering flexibility for future expansions, such as a full gymnasium or additional classrooms. The relocation and transformation of Flower City School 54 exemplify the district’s commitment to providing equitable, high-quality educational facilities that integrate seamlessly with their surrounding communities.
