Walter Cooper Academy School 10 experienced a major overhaul to better meet the needs of its PK-6 configuration. A new two-story addition was constructed to house 16 state-of-the-art classrooms designed for general and special education. The renovation also addressed the school’s resource needs by adding dedicated spaces for resource rooms, student support areas, and updated restroom facilities. The existing gymatorium was transformed into a modern library, providing a multipurpose space for both educational and community use.

The project also included a new event lobby, strategically designed to facilitate after-hours activities while maintaining the security of the main school building. The combination of flexible learning environments, modern infrastructure, and community-focused spaces has positioned Walter Cooper Academy as a vital educational and neighborhood asset.
